Almost
the quarter of century of work of the plenipotentiary ambassador of the
USSR in Washington has fallen to the difficult period of the
Soviet-American rivalry. How many useful it would be possible for both
powers to make for this time for rapprochement of our peoples, if we the
relation already could be put on a healthy basis. And still Anatoly
Dobrynin can tell fairly, that he did everything that he was in his forces
that "cold war" has not turned in "hot", that seeds of
mutual understanding and kind relations between our countries were
gradually pawned. He always aspired to this. We
want to devote this site to pages of diplomatic relations of the USSR and
USA, already becoming a history. And, in spite of the fact that all events
are still fresh in memory, they can become a good lesson. Heavy and
laborious work of diplomats sometimes is not appreciable to inhabitants,
but we have become interested in this problem and have gathered a lot of
interesting.
